Great job! May I suggest that you try something like less blur in the area of the background around the horse apart from the ground because if it were a photo the lens would focus on all objects in a given level so to say and the blur would gradually increase to be greatest in the far distance. It might give a even more realistic feel. And maybe instead of adding more colour to the horse, desaturate a tiny little bit the background, maybe a little less red.
